Hi, I’m Chamu.
Hi — I’m Chamu, and I enjoy using mathematics and computing to understand and explore the world around me.
This site is a space I’m using during a gap year — and hopefully beyond — to bring together the projects I’ve worked on so far, while also experimenting with new ideas. Rather than focusing on a single area, I’m using it to explore different directions, from scientific computing and mathematical modelling to more applied and creative work.
Some of the projects here are based on existing ideas or papers that I’ve tried to reproduce and extend, while others are more open-ended experiments driven by curiosity.
The aim isn’t just to showcase finished work, but to document a process — understanding what I enjoy, what I’m good at, and where I want to go next. It’s a small lab of ideas.
Over time, this will hopefully grow into a clearer picture of my interests, shaped by the work itself.
Mathematics of Boids
Three rules. No central control.
Yet Boids produce stunning, coordinated motion—showing how complexity can emerge from simplicity in mathematical systems.
This is the kind of mathematics I enjoy—where simple ideas lead to surprisingly rich and beautiful patterns.
